Background
Vertical Marketing was a start-up marketing company located in Denver, Colorado. They were just starting from scratch with the simple idea of providing complete and cohesive marketing services to local businesses in the Denver area. Their goal was to create a more personable marketing company that differentiated itself from other competitors who appeared to be overly distant and corporate.
Roles and Responsibilities

The Challenge
Being a brand new start-up, Vertical needed complete branding and marketing, consisting of a logo, business card, website, and other various necessities to get the company off the ground.
Hurdles
- There was no existing customer base, therefore, we needed to acquire all new customers.
- A brand new website with a brand new url means a slow start to getting indexed and ranked high in search engines.
- Limited budget to get things started.
Opportunities
- Starting from ground zero left the door open for infinite design possibilities.
- Research showed that there really wasn’t much competition locally.
- My client was also very experienced in web design and development.
